I am Dr. Bill Stafford. I am in my 12th year teaching at Loudon High School. I primarily teach biology, but am certified to teach all sciences. I am also the faculty advisor for the key club which is a community service club associated with the Kiwanis Club of Tellico Village.
I am a life long resident of Loudon County. I graduated from Loudon High School and attended the University of Tennessee where I attained a degree in Veterinary Medicine. I married a Loudon girl 37 years ago and have two children who also attended Loudon High School. My first grandchild will be starting school this fall at Loudon Elementary School. I have three other younger grandchildren which includes a set of twins.
I decided to teach in 2005 after a career as a Veterinarian and a farmer. I made this decision because I care about our community and the kids that are going to take over eventually. I was a little unsure about the decision in the beginning, but have found this to be the best career of my life. I truly love teaching and the time I get to spend with the students. I remember what an impact a good teacher can have on a student and try my best to be that type of teacher. I feel that I have gained as much from the students as I have given them and still look forward to each school year and each day.
