FAMILY AND CONSUMER SCIENCE - 1 credit
A comprehensive course which includes instruction in all home economics subject areas. Content is adapted to the achievement levels of the students enrolled. The course is concerned with the economical, social, and cultural conditions and needs of family and emphasize the basic principals of interrelationship among these areas. The following areas are taught: child development, parenting and family relations, textiles and clothing, consumer education, good grooming, housing and interior design, nutrition and foods.

 
   

TEXTILES AND APPAREL - 1 credit
A specialized course designed to preapre students to understand the social, psychological, and physiological aspects of textile and apparel products. Instruction in how to select, produce, maintain, and alter textile and apparel products and the effect of consuimer choices on the needs of the individual and family are included in the course of study.

The intergratrion of Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) provides students with opportunities for leadership development, personal growth, and school/community involvement.
