Got Milk Press Coverage

+ Maryville Daily Times Article, Aug. 2006
Jon Ashton Web Diary Entry
09/19/2006
I was kindly invited by The American Dairy Association to teach students from Loudon high school, in Knoxville TN, about healthier eating and how to get 3 A Day in their daily diet. The school has about 740 students, and they all seem very respectful. The media joined us too.
It is easy to get the needed daily 1300 mg of calcium that is required (see below) and I taught the kids how to kick start their day with a smoothie, followed by a cheesy chicken cruncher. This is a healthier alternative to processed chicken nuggets. It was a hit with the students, who could not believe just how easy they were to make. Most kids said they would like to make them with there family.
I had a chance to pop into the cafeteria, all the ladies were so nice, and they very kindly made me a baked potato with broccoli and cheese, however it wasn’t Cabot cheese! Speaking of Cabot, I want to say Thank you to Cabot for donating so much cheese for this event, your kindness was well appreciated by the students.
After the first seminar, I was whisked off for a Got Milk? photo shoot. You may have seen them, the ones with the milk mustache? Well, we had a ball doing it, they had me dressing up in all sorts of outfits - I hope some of them don’t make it onto the web!
A really big thank you to Louden high school for opening up your doors to me, and a big massive thank you to Mary, Gill, Janet and all the SUDIA family for adopting me.
I will be back with me Buzz family on Wed, I haven’t seen our Mitchy and crew for 2 weeks and I have missed them.
Hopefully you all can tune in.
J.
