Message from the Principal

Welcome to Loudon High School home of the Redskins!  We hope that if you are a student, parent/ guardian, alumnae or community member, you are able to find the information you are searching for on our website.
If you have driven by the front of the school recently you would have seen a lot of construction taking place.  We are very excited and feel privileged that we have a 6.5 million dollar addition taking place for this next school year.  Our cafeteria is expected to be completed by the time school starts this school year; while the front of the school building is anticipated for completion March 2017.  It will certainly be nice to have brand new Science labs, Culinary Arts, Visual Arts, Band, as well as several other classes and new administrative offices.   We are also certainly excited to have a one- way driveway that will come off the highway to allow students to be safely dropped off and picked up each day.  With this being our 50th anniversary in our existing school building, we are truly excited about our new upcoming addition.  Loudon Proud!
This year we are still recommending that parents drop off their students at the cafeteria in the mornings and pick up in the same area in the afternoons.  The back of the school is one-way going out from 2:45-3:30 p.m. for buses only.  We hope that this process goes smoothly in order to assure that all students are safety transported each and every day.
Redskin Registration is Wednesday, July 27, 2016.  Seniors register from 8:00-10:00 a.m., Juniors from 10:00-12:00 noon, Sophomores 12:00-2:00 p.m. and Freshman from 2:00-4:00 p.m.  Lockers are $5.00, Handbooks $5.00, Parking tags $20.00 and Senior Graduation fees $65.00.
Freshman Day will be Friday, July 29, 2016, from 8:30-10:30 a.m. for the CLASS OF 2020.  Go Big Red!  And of course, first day of classes, Monday, August 1, 2016.
We always recommend that students get involved in extra curricular activities while in high school to provide that network of friends, sense of community and hopefully a lot of fun along the way.  At any time, should you have a question regarding anything or need to share information, please do not hesitate to call.  We hope for all of our students that their four (4) years in high school is a great learning experience for them, as well as time that they have to make some great memories along the way!
Fondly from Redskin Country,
Cheri K. Parrish
