Congratulations to Sadie R. for being selected as the Northwestern Mutual Player of the Week presented by Brandon Millard. She scored 4 goals last week against Sequoyah and scored her 100th career this weekend as the Lady Redskins won the Smoky Mountain Cup Championship!

¡Feliz cumpleaños! Sra. Correa! She effectively leads in many aspects of our school community! Mrs. Correa is a beloved teacher of our Spanish department, leads many international trips that allow our students to experience new cultures, and much more. A big thank you to Coach Adkins of the LHS Cross Country Team and her many volunteers for carrying on the 30+ year old running of the ball tradition to take the Battle of the Bridge ball to Lenoir City.

Congratulations to our Monthly Awards recipients. We are proud of the way they represent LHS. Story S. was chosen by a family who visited LHS. The family said Story was incredibly helpful, made them feel welcomed, calmed the student's nerves, and was a wonderful ambassador for LHS. Lulu B. was selected for being able to overcome great adversity and for doing her best. Mrs. Hope was selected for her help to new teachers and for always lending a helping hand. Mr. Robbie was chosen for always being positive and willing to help. In addition, he is training new staff members to keep LHS tidy.

Don't forget that makeup and retake pictures for faculty and 9th-11th grade students will take place tomorrow, 8/27, in the auditorium.

When it comes to supporting our students, Dr. Kile is top tier! Whether it is as guidance counselor, Key Club, Launch programs, or many of her other hats, Dr. Kile is always there. She is an amazing support to all our students and staff, and we appreciate all that she does. Have a great birthday Dr. Kile!

Congratulations to Alex S for being selected as the Northwestern Mutual Player of the Week presented by Brandon Millard. He has consistently led the golf team, even shooting a 36 in the match last week. Congratulations Alex!

It’s Mr. Haun’s birthday! With 31 years in education and classrooms in Tennessee, Montana, and Oklahoma, Mr. Haun has plenty of stories to tell—and we’re glad his story brought him to LHS! You can usually keep him happy with some black coffee or a Zevia Cola, and he’s always good for a memorable quote. We hope Mr. Haun has a fantastic birthday! In true Mr. Haun fashion, we’ll leave you with this: “Stay Gold, Pony Boy.”

It’s Coach Graves’ birthday! We’re celebrating one of our PE/Wellness favorites today! Coach Graves has spent 13 years in education, loves hitting the road for a good trip, and enjoys any chance he gets to be on the golf course. This year is extra special as he’s also celebrating his newest title—Dad! We hope Coach Graves has the best birthday. We’re lucky to have him at LHS!
