Good afternoon, Eaton families! We hope you’ve enjoyed MLK day with your kids.
1) We have added Instagram to our social media platforms so be sure to follow us there.
2) We need donations of Hershey kiss for next month’s candy grams and hot hands for our volunteers in the morning. If you can help, please send them to the office.
3) We have seen an increase in students using electronic communication devices, such as phones and watches, during the school day since Christmas. If students bring these items to school, they will be asked to power them off and place them in their backpack until the end of the day.
4) Reminder: we do not accept food deliveries for students during the school day from companies likes like Doordash or Grub Hub nor we will be accepting deliveries on Valentine’s day.
5) Our family math night is this Friday, January 24th 5:30-7:00. This will be a free event where students will explore several math activities based on their grade level. We hope you will join us.

7) Parent Tip: This week’s parent tip is from the Tennessee Department of Education about understanding a sounds-first approach to reading. Reminder: No School on Monday for MLK day.
Corin did a superb job as our guest announcer this morning. MLK day is Monday so we have no school. Corin encouraged all our students to be kind and respectful to one another as a great way to honor the message Dr. King spoke in 1963.
Mason was our guest announcer this morning. He challenged our student scholars to set goals and to put their heart into them so they can reach their dreams!

Good afternoon, Eaton families! We hope you got out and enjoyed the beautiful snow.
1) Report Cards went home on Thursday. Please sign them and send them back to school.
2) LAUNCH will begin when we return to school. If you are new to LAUNCH permission slips will need to be turned in before they are allowed to start next week.
3) Rocketeer went home last week with your child, and it can be found on our website https://5il.co/34cqy. On the last page was a cup for students to decorate and write a sentence about how they can share kindness. We will decorate the front foyer with cups of kindness.
4) In the Rocketeer was also a flyer for the family math night on Friday, January 24th 5:30-7:00. This will be a free event where students will explore several math activities based on their grade level. We hope you will join us.

Due to the likelihood of icy roads, Loudon County Schools will be closed Monday, January 13, 2025.
Mrs. Byrd's class used Oreos, chocolate syrup, and M&Ms to represent the four layers of the earth.
❤️Thursday was Adoption Day in Ms Massie’s class!🦌🧸
All the students were able to name their pet and wrote about how to be responsible when taking care of them. They also practiced reading their tricky words to them!
Due to the prediction of snow for our area, Loudon County Schools will be closed Friday, January 10, 2025.
Kaavya did a wonderful job as our guest announcer. She reminded everyone that our goals are our possibilities. We might not always meet our goals but one thing is for certain, you will never do it unless you set a goal and then try.

Charlotte, guest announcer, started our morning off with a quote from Maya Angelou, "Each new hour holds new chances for new beginnings." We hope our students will grab hold of the "new chances for new beginnings" today in the new year. Great job Charlotte!
Wilder was our guest announcer this morning and challenged our scholars to write down their 2025 semester goals. Remember these words, "Climb high. Climb far. Your goal the sky. Your aim the stars."
