Kaden did an incredible job on the announcements this morning! We recognized our staff members of the month and several birthdays this morning. He rose to the challenge and maintained his cool throughout. ❤️🚀❤️

Thrilled to have Mrs. Gonzalez and Mrs. Whitefield representing us at the TETC conference! They gained valuable insights from Gerry Brooks, explored new educational technology resources, and fostered collaboration with educators statewide. #TETCConference #ProfessionalDevelopment

Lyla was the perfect amount of energy this morning to be our guest announcer. Her words of wisdom were on the spot, "be thankful for the good in your life, the good you can share, and the good that's yet to come."

Sami was a delight to have as our guest announcer on Tuesday. She did a great job by starting our morning off with words of wisdom about gratitude!

Starting Wednesday, November 29th through December 1st traffic will be temporarily rerouted between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm on Larry Duff Drive when you are exiting Eaton Elementary School campus. Between 9am and 2pm traffic will use the gravel road to be rerouted through Central United Methodist parking lot to exit the campus. In the wake of Rachel Greer's passing, Honorary Teacher at Eaton Elementary, our hearts are heavy with grief as we remember an incredible teacher, a superb colleague, and a beacon of kindness. Rachel's impact on those around her was profound; she had an uncanny ability to bring warmth and compassion to every interaction. As an educator, she was not only dedicated but truly amazing, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of her students. Her colleagues were fortunate to witness her unwavering support and collaboration, making her not just a superb colleague but also a cherished friend. Beyond her professional life, Rachel's role as an amazing mom and wife was evident in her love, faith, and joy she brought to her family. Rachel shared her love with gnomes with her classroom, team, and school. Now, as we find a gnome, we'll remember Rachel's spirit, and in each one, we'll find a piece of the kindness and love she so effortlessly bestowed upon everyone lucky enough to know her. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to her family during this difficult time. We love you Greer!

#GivingTuesday was a huge success. Thank you EES community for donating 1,190 pairs of socks.
Congratulations to Mrs. Dauscha’s room for bringing the most pair of socks.

Sadie was our guest announcer today. She has a calming voice and started us off on the right note. During the "Words of Wisdom" she reminded us all to fight off those gimmes during the holiday season.

Harli welcomed everyone back today from Thanksgiving break as our morning guest announcer. ❤️🚀❤️

Good afternoon, Eaton families! Here is your Monday Minute for the week of November 27th. We hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving break. The weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas seem to fly by so please check your app frequently to stay up to date.
1. Our November Reading Buddy or Adopt-a-Pet activity was to take a picture with your pet over Thanksgiving break showing you reading. Upload those pictures on the form link and we will highlight them on our social media outlets and print the photos for display. https://forms.office.com/r/5zjG2Jre3k
2. On Tuesday, November 28th we are participating in #givingtuesday. We are encouraging students to bring a pair of new socks to school to donate to those in need. Socks for children, the homeless, or elderly will all be accepted. The class that brings in the most socks will have a cookie decorating party.
3. On Thursday the Rocketeer will come home with information from the office, family calendar, lunch menu, a Kindness Bingo Challenge, and the PTO connection so look for it in your child’s folder.
4. Loudon County Coordinated School Health is pleased to be able to offer a Grinch-themed Take and Make at Home kit. Supplies are limited. Free for families who have a student at Eaton Elementary. Sign up using this link: https://forms.gle/xGxwkmiTWvXapGtMA
5. Lastly, our Staff Innovation Committee has updated the Parent University tab on our website, Parent University | Eaton Elementary School (loudoncounty.org), with videos about “How to Register on Raptor”, “Navigating Skyward and Your Student Grades”, and “How to join the Loudon County App and your Student’s Rooms”. If there is another video, you would like to see that can help you feel more connected or would be helpful in general please email Mrs. Baessler, baesslera@loudoncounty.org .
Have a great week and if we can do anything please reach out.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thank you Pilot Club of Lenoir City for presenting the BrainMinders program to our students. During the assembly they talked about brain injury prevention and how the use of helmets protect children from brain injury.❤️ 🚀 ❤️

We had tons of turkey's turned in this week in creative disguises 🥸. Novembers Family Engagement activity was a huge hit!

Mrs. Schaffer's November math goal for her students was to earn an 80% or higher on quick checks in math class. If students made an 80% or higher, they signed the poster. Students that earned 5 signatures by 11/21 earned a prize of their choice! I'm so proud of their hard work & focus during math class!

Today Mrs. Lufkin did a breakout room! Students correctly answered comprehension questions to reveal secret codes. After students solved all the questions, their final clue revealed they all earned CAKE!

We appreciate our parent volunteers that help on the sidewalk, no matter the weather. Mrs. Sturman made it extra special with her matching rainboots!
