We would like to highlight one very special project completed this summer by Daniel White!
Daniel represents the fourth generation of Highland Park Elementary Eagles. His family’s connection to the school spans many decades, with his mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother all having attended. His great-grandmother began her time at Highland Park Elementary in the late 1920s, shortly after the school’s opening. Inspired by his family connection and the great memories he made during his own time at Highland Park, Daniel chose to dedicate his Boy Scout Eagle Project to the school. In June, Daniel worked alongside fellow Scouts from Troop 770, as well as parents and troop leaders, to update the school’s exterior. Together, they undertook a landscaping project, adding and updating greenery around the school sign and entrance, as well as pressure-washed the sidewalks, steps, and walls at the front of the school. Their efforts aimed to ensure Highland Park Elementary was ready to welcome students for the upcoming school year.
We are so thankful for Daniel’s leadership during this projectct as well as the efforts of troop leaders, fellow troops, and troop parents. Our campus has never been more beautiful! 🦅💙
