We would like to thank the Be Pro truck for providing a great learning opportunity for our students this week! Our student ambassadors got trained on each simulator so they could help the instructors. They are also helping with job placement and finding areas of focus in a CTE program. Thank you to our CTE programs and CTE administrators for backing us on the great opportunity to help these kids prepare for a great career.

Families, Next week begins our Spring End of Course testing. Here are some great steps to be best prepared for testing. -Please make sure all students manually update their computers and shut it down completely over the break. Students should be able to access TestNav on their computer if it is fully up to date. -It is also important that students familiarize themselves with a list of all prohibited items, specifically that not electronic devices besides the student issued computer is allowed in the testing classrooms. A list of all prohibited items can be found on the Tennessee Department of Education website. -Students and staff cannot not access any testing materials that are not theirs, nor shall they review or discuss any of the questions before, during, or after testing. -Students and staff cannot copy, photograph, share, or reproduce any testing materials. -Students and staff must follow all proper testing policies and procedures outlined in the test administration manual. -Students and staff cannot engage in any activity not related to testing while in the test room. This includes no access to phones, smartwatches, AirPods, computer programs or websites. -Any violation of Tennessee testing procedures outlined in the Test Security Manual may result in the exam being invalidated and not scored Best of luck Redskins! If students are not enrolled in one of the state tested courses, they will rotate through their classes and continue working towards mastery in each class.

Don't forget about the English I and II Stand Alone Field Test and the early dismissal tomorrow, Monday, April 8. Tennessee Department of Education has a Three-Year Plan to rotate through all the districts to field test English I and II. This year, Loudon High School must administer the English I and II Stand Alone Field Test. Loudon High School will give this test on Monday, April 8 during the county's half day to any student currently enrolled in English I or II this semester. It will be administered through the same process and procedures of End of Course testing. This means students need to ensure their computers are fully updated, can access TestNav, and is charged for the test. While the students enrolled in English take the Field Test, those not in English I or II will rotate through classes during that time. This is a Field Test that will be used by the state to assess test rigor and accuracy. It will not directly impact the student's final grade nor the teacher's accountability. The official End of Course testing will begin on April 16.

Calling all LHS families and students: Truthfully, students are the greatest source of information we have regarding potential dangers and issues here at school. Pictured is the School Security Feature of the Loudon County Sheriff's Office App. Please encourage your child to download the app and use it if they know of a potential safety or security issue. Safety is our #1 priority and this tool will assist us in that.
