First grade wrapped up our unit on the human body by becoming surgeons while playing Operation, drawing their life sized body systems, creating their own food pyramids, and building puzzles.
Adopt A Class generously donated reading bears to each first grader at LES. Each student fluffed their bear, named it, and spent the day reading to it. Students were excited about bringing their bears home to read to them. Thank you Adopt A Class for encouraging a love of reading in our students!
