The Loudon County Board of Education is hosting a groundbreaking for the new athletic additions at Greenback School. The groundbreaking is Thursday, June 12 at 7:30 PM. The event will take place at the back of the school. The public is invited to attend!
Greenback baseball tryouts for tonight (6/9/25) have been cancelled due to field conditions and the threat of bad weather.
High School & Middle School baseball tryouts will be held on Monday, June 9 from 5 to 7 PM. This is for rising 6th thru 12th grade students.

Pajamas, house shoes, and bedtime gear don’t belong at school! We know they’re comfy, but school isn’t a sleepover — it’s your job, and at GBS, we mean business (the fun kind, of course).
So this August, throw on something school-ready, bring your A-game, and let’s dress for success!

We gathered this morning as a school family for a special dedication ceremony for a very special person. Mrs. Cortney's Gazebo honors Courtney Coada who will live in our hearts and smiles forever. It was an honor to share this ceremony with her wonderful family, friends, colleagues, and students.
Thank you to our FFA members, their families and friends, and our amazing FFA Sponsor, Mrs. Edwards, for the outstanding banquet this evening. Congratulations to our graduating FFA Seniors, as well as our new officers for the 25-26 school year!
