We had a great time celebrating our retirees. These individuals have created a lasting impact on Loudon High School, and they will be greatly missed! 1stSgt David "Top" Dukes came to Loudon High School in 2001 and quickly embodied Redskin Pride. He assisted in continuing the Esprit de Corps of the NJROTC program. In addition, he spent time coaching basketball and providing commentary for Redskin Radio during football season. He spent many years coming in early for PT or leading the NJROTC drill team. His passion, work ethic, and Georgia Bulldog spirit is unmatched. We thank him for his 20+ years of service to Loudon High School. Bravo Zulu. Mr. David Cherry came to Loudon High School in 2003. He has served faithfully in the math department, primarily with Geometry. He has consistently produced high achieving students. His attention to detail, precision, discipline has been an asset to LHS. He upheld a rigorous classroom that challenged students and pushed them to be their best. In addition to the classroom, he spent many years leading the Redskin golf team, even taking golfers to the state tournament. We thank him for his 20+ years of service to Loudon High School. Mrs. Karen Niosi came to Loudon High School in 2021. Since then, she has taken on numerous roles for LHS. In each aspect, she has always supported students and staff. She is firm and holds students accountable, yet caring and loyal. She desires what is best for students and made it her daily job to help them achieve their goals. She would often come in early and stay late, volunteering to help in every capacity. Recently, she has even taken to the pitch to help Coach Sam Harrison and the Lady Redskin soccer team. We thank her for her time at LHS and wish her the best.

Happy birthday to Mrs. Greta Smith! She has tremendous care for her students. She works extremely hard providing instruction, support, and care. She is patient and compassionate, and she has been a great asset to our school. We wish her a very happy birthday!

A big thank you to Brandon Millard at Northwestern Mutual for providing breakfast to our teachers this morning. Brandon is an alumni of LHS, and he has consistently invested back into his school and community. We are thankful for his friendship and support.

Pre-Registration is open for you to join us this summer for our 2026 Loudon Baseball Youth Camp! The dates will be June 15th and 16th from 8:30-2:00. The purpose of the camp is to provide kindergarten-6th grade baseball players an opportunity to learn and practice many offensive and defensive skills in a FUN, ENGAGING environment! Congratulations to our monthly recognition recipients. Mrs. Bunch was voted the Teacher of the Month for her organization and leadership of Redskin Day and the Academic Celebration. She communicated plans well and puts her heart and soul into everything she does. Mrs. Niosi was selected as the Staff Member of the Month for being such a hard worker. She is firm yet understanding, and she works tirelessly to keep students accountable. She is a team player and has given up much of her own time to help volunteer with test administration. Isaiah H. was chosen as the Student of the Month for showing great personal growth. He has exhibited qualities of respect and responsibility. He treats others with kindness and completes his assignments. He is polite and goal oriented with clear aspirations for his future. Johnny G. was voted as the Student of the Month for successfully competing his senior year. He established meaningful goals and completed them with dedication and perseverance. He has done an outstanding job.

To kick off Teacher Appreciation week, we want to thank the Loudon Interact Club for the donuts this morning, LifeBridge Church for lunch, and the Key Club for the Health and Wellness bags. We appreciate the support to our faculty and staff. LHS has an amazing group of educators and community partners.

Happy birthday to Mr. Lance Walden. His vast set of skills and resourcefulness benefit LHS in many ways. He imparts his knowledge to his students. Together, they create and complete a wide variety of projects that improve the school and community. His work ethic and heart for others is evident in all that he does. We appreciate all he does for his students, the school, and the community and we wish him a happy birthday!

We want to thank our fantastic cafeteria team. Every day they are the first to arrive, and they spend a great deal of time and effort to prepare wholesome meals for students and staff. Even when crazy schedules are thrown their way, they adapt and figure out ways to keep everyone fed. We appreciate their hard work at LHS!

Happy Birthday Mrs. Christina! She works hard in providing nutritious meals and keeping the school looking nice. She works tirelessly in caring for students and the school every day. We appreciate her hard work and all that she does for LHS, and we wish her a happy birthday!

Although he should be recognized regularly for his leadership and extreme dedication to Loudon, today is the designated day to acknowledge Principal MacKintosh. He is a servant leader and keeps students at the front of every decision. He is an advocate for teachers and staff while fostering a culture of success. We can't thank him enough for his devotion to Loudon High and the community. We appreciate you Principal MacKintosh!

Congratulations to Eli K. for being chosen as the Northwestern Mutual Player of the Week presented by Brandon Millard. Earlier this week in the start of the district tournament, Eli has a batting average of .462, ops .995, 6 1B, and 3 RBI. Congratulations Eli and good luck continuing on in the district tournament!

Loudon High School is proud to be recognized with the Anne Dallas Dudley Award for achieving 100% voter registration, earning the Gold Award in this category! We were honored to have Secretary of State Tre Hargett, Lt. Governor Randy McNally, State Rep. Lowell Russell, and other distinguished guests on campus to present this prestigious award. A huge thank you to Jennifer Brewster and our Loudon County election officials for their dedication to empowering our students and making this accomplishment possible.

Students and Families, Tomorrow begins the bulk of our End of Course Testing. Please notice the change in schedule for each day. Subjects that are tested will take their test first thing in the morning. We will then proceed through the rest of the schedule as listed. Please make sure that students update TestNav on their student device and charges it. Here are a few important reminders for the testing rooms. -No electronics are allowed in the testing room or during breaks. This includes phones, smart watches, smart glasses, bluetooth devices, or any other wireless devices. -Students are to only access TestNav in the testing room. They are not to have any other applications running before, during, or after testing. Once testing concludes, students must sit quietly until testing concludes. -Students are not to discuss any testing items with staff, students, family, or social media. -All materials received in the testing room must be turned in and remain in the testing room. -Students cannot be engage in disruptive behavior such as talking, eating, drinking, etc. -Violating an of the items outlined in the Tennessee Test Security Manual will result in invalidating the test and school consequences. Please make sure to abide by these regulations. The End Of Course exams are 15% of students overall grade. It is important that they are on time each morning and do their best. We wish students good luck as we take our EOC’s this week.

Congratulations Memo M. for being selected as the Northwester Mutual Player of the Week presented by Brandon Millard. Memo has consistently defended goal for the Los Indios over his career. His play has earned him recognition beyond high school. Congratulations Memo and keep up the good work!
