High school is complicated, but one thing is for sure...the kids ultimately determine the culture. We can talk it all we want, but the kids determine it. This week, we found out how things will go at LHS this year. For so many reasons, we are proud of our kids. Keep it up, Redskins. Stay classy and bring that attitude and effort! Big week upcoming in Redskin Country.

We are excited to host our first football game Friday evening against county rival Greenback. KICKOFF IS SET FOR 7:00. We will be honoring the newest inductees into the LHS Football Hall of Fame at 6:30 on the field. We wanted to remind and/or inform everyone of some expectations for those in attendance: 1. Children middle school age and younger must have an adult (18 or older) present at events that is observing and responsible for the children. 2. LHS is not responsible for the supervision of children attending events at LHS or at other locations in which LHS is participating. 3. Those in attendance (including school-aged children) causing issues or problems during LHS events, risk being removed from the event and potential subsequent penalty for up to the remainder of the school year. Let's make this a successful season both on and off of the field of play. Go Redskins!

Launch packets have been sent home today. We ask that our families complete those and send them back with their student by Friday. If a student is unsure if they will participate in Launch, it is best practice to return the forms in case a student needs to stay for tutoring or any other reason later in the year. Thank you very much for your assistance in this endeavor. Have a great afternoon!

Families, due to recent legislation, we have revised two of our forms that we would like to share with you. First is the health screenings letter. If you do not want your child to participate, you must reach out to Kate Galyon galyonk@loudoncounty.org or your school nurse by Aug 31st. The second form is the back side of the health card. If you have already completed this form, you do not need to do anything. If you need an updated form, please reach out to your school nurse. If you have any questions about either form, please reach out to Kate Galyon galyonk@loudoncounty.org or Alison May maya@loudoncounty.org
