Just a reminder that Loudon High School Registration is Friday, July 26. 12th Grade: (8:00-10:00) 11th Grade: (10:00-12:00) 10th Grade: (12:00-2:00) 9th Grade: (2:00-4:00) Please attend each station. In addition, the LHS School Store will be open. We look forward to seeing everyone Friday. Remember that Loudon County Schools will operate on a Staggered Start. Schedules have been released and can be accessed through Skyward. If students would like to request a schedule change, these forms can be completed outside the main office at the school. Please review the schedule change guidelines prior to requesting any schedule changes.

Redskin Families, This is just another reminder that Redskin Registration Day is July 26. See the flier for details on when it is and what is needed. Please do not be confused with the Loudon County District calendar. LHS is doing registration on July 26, not August 2. Also, please prepare for staggered days to start the school year. August 5 will be the first day for last names A-K. August 6 will be the first day for last names L-Z. Everyone attends beginning August 7. Have a great day!

New Loudon County Student Registration will be on Monday, July 15 and Tuesday July 16 from 9:00 - 2:00. New Loudon County Students must bring the following: -birth certificate, -proof of custody if parents are not married to each other, -proof of address in Loudon County, -shot record, - and preferably academic transcript Returning students and upcoming 9th graders, official registration day will be Friday, July, 26: -Seniors: 8-10 -Juniors: 10-12 -Sophomores: 12-2 -Freshmen: 2-4 Class supplies can be found on the website at https://lhs.loudoncounty.org/o/lhs/page/class-supply-lists

The LHS offices will be closed Wednesday 7/3 as we are waxing the front halls and entry way. The school will also be closed for business on 7/4-7/5 for the Independence Day holiday. Have a wonderful holiday weekend!

Good morning, Loudon High School Families, I am writing to give you our heartfelt apology for the unbelievable lateness of the 2024 LHS yearbook delivery. We have contacted our representative again and there is no update from the company. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and provide updates. It is an understatement to tell you how irritated and embarrassed we are to have spent this much time, effort, and your money with still nothing to show for it. Once this situation is resolved, we hope you will be happy with the product. Yearbooks provide lasting memories, so I hope they get here soon. I am hopeful that the wait will be worth it to you all, and it goes without saying that we will be reviewing our choice of providers.Again, we will update you with any communication from Balfour. Congratulations Jaxon Walker on being a Mr. Baseball Finalist! Congratulations on such an amazing season! We are so proud of you, your accomplishments, and the impact you’ve had on the community. The Vols baseball signee is going to do amazing things!

Loudon High School baseball would like to give thanks to Coach Jason Lambert. Throughout his 8 seasons as the head coach he has lead the Redskins to 3 district championships, 3 regional championships, 2 sectional championships, 2 state tournament appearances, and was named Sectional Baseball Coach of the Year for 2022. Coach Lambert not only helped lead the Redskins to success on the field but off the field as well, having a tremendous impact within the community. Loudon High School, Loudon Baseball, and the community would like to thank you for your hard work and dedication throughout your 8 seasons at LHS.

Loudon High School would like to welcome Trent Elliott as the new Head Coach of our baseball program! Coach Elliott has been an assistant with the program for the last two years, but is excited to move into the head position. He has a lengthy resume that includes being a 4-year letterman at Loudon in baseball and football. In 2014, he was named District Offensive MVP and was a 2013-2014 pre-season All-State selection. He earned All-District honors all four years and is a hard worker with immense talent. We are so thankful he chose to return home and look forward to what he will accomplish with the program in his new capacity! Good luck, Coach Elliott. Go Big Red!!

We apologize for the late release of this year's yearbook. The supplier has had a delay in all production. This is not exclusive to Loudon High School. They have assured us, and all their customers, that they are working quickly to deliver yearbooks. As soon as yearbooks arrive, we will inform our families. Students will then be able to come pick them up over the summer or can wait until August to receive their yearbook. Thank you for your patience.

Information regarding Loudon High School Honors Summer Reading: Honors-level courses are designed to challenge students with rigorous academic material, and summer reading is a valuable way to ensure that students are adequately prepared for the upcoming school year. Through summer reading assignments, students will have the opportunity to develop their critical thinking skills, analyze complex texts, and prepare for the higher-level discussions and assignments that they will encounter in their honors courses. Additionally, engaging in summer reading helps promote the time management, independent learning, and self-directed inquiry skills necessary for success in higher learning environments. All texts have been chosen carefully by each grade-level teacher to help students better prepare for the unit essential questions they will encounter as they begin classes. · All Honors English students must complete the assigned summer reading for the grade they are enrolled. · Required books by grade are listed in this packet. · Students must complete the assignment accompanying each book—these will be due: English I: After the 1st week of classes in the FALL semester (freshman academy) English II-IV: After the 1st week of English class in which the student is enrolled · Reading assignments are available on the Loudon High School website. Many reading selections are available digitally, and sometimes for free, through Google books or the Kindle app. Students may also check out a copy of the book in the front office throughout the summer. Note to parents: All book selections have been approved at the school and county level and will be an integral part of your student’s English curriculum. Forms for LHS Summer School have been sent. Summer School spots are limited and granted based on need and other school factors. The program is fast paced and covers a large amount of information in a short amount of time. Therefore, attendance is mandatory and students must be working towards mastery at all times. If you did not receive a form and believe your child would benefit from recovering a credit, please contact the high school. Spots are limited. Thank you!

LHS would like to thank our student interpreters for ELL class. We also wanted to congratulate Geo Gonzalez and Gerardo Nicolas on their upcoming graduation and wish them well in their future endeavors. They will be deeply missed! Finally, we want to congratulate our students who have exited the ELL program. Well done students!
